This high school senior session is just too cute not to share! We specialize in wedding photography and do not shoot seniors very often. However, when one of Keith's co-worker's asked us about shooting her daughter's senior photos, we were all in! Makaiya is a beautiful young lady that is also smart and responsible. She is a part of the National Guard! Makaiya is a senior at Franklin County High School so we met them in Frankfort at some of my favorite shooting locations. I think you'll see why they're my favorites, too! Buffalo Trace Distillery is so gorgeous with not only their cool industrial backdrops but stunning garden areas as well! And Cove Spring Park is the perfect natural setting with fields, a creek and waterfalls. Congratulations, Makaiya, on making it to your senior year and we wish you the best life has to offer in the future!
Paola & Tyler are an adorable couple that are getting married in a church wedding next year in Lexington. We had the pleasure of meeting Paola at the Diamond Rings and Pretty Things bridal show and seeing her again at the Bridal Bliss Classic. We went to Keeneland for their engagement session along with their super cute dog, Sebastian. I love when a session combines the beautiful natural scene of Lexington with the more urban city-scape that downtown Lexington provides. So, after shooting some at Keeneland, we headed down to Triangle Park for a few shots near the pretty fountains.
Paola and Tyler, we hope you love your sneak peeks in the blog! We look forward to spending more time with you in the future!
Alex & Blake's Equus Run Winery wedding in Midway, KY was amazing! They're such great people and so awesome to work with. Equus Run Winery is a gorgeous Kentucky wedding venue which is so perfect for an outdoor wedding. The weather was awesome and we ended the day with the beautiful golden sunset.
They're on their way to honeymoon in the Caribbean and we hope they have a wonderful time and enjoy these sneak peeks!

When you live your whole life in Central Kentucky, you get very familiar with the fact that there are horse farms everywhere. It's one of my (Melissa's) favorite part of living here but I haven't had too many opportunities to visit these farms. So, when Katie and Miguel mentioned shooting their engagement session at Antebellum Farm in Lexington, I was pretty excited!
Katie works at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital and Miguel works on a horse farm so they were both comfortable in their surroundings. Katie has such beautiful curly hair and looked so pretty in her burgundy fit and flare dress and cowgirl boots. They are a super nice couple and are getting married next month! We cannot wait to shoot their wedding and Thoroughbred Center reception which we hear will have a little Mexican flair. :) Thank you, Katie & Miguel, for the chance to shoot your engagement photos and get to know you both a little better! The wedding day is going to be a blast!
