We are so excited to finally share some news with everyone! We now have an office in the Steeplechase Center in Versailles, KY! This office will be used for our client consultations! It is a darling, cozy little room up in the 3rd floor of a historic building at 148 Court Street.
Recently we were blessed to have the opportunity to take my (Melissa's) granny to the Kentucky Castle for dinner and a tour. We had so much fun looking around at all the new renovations that the new owners have done. The castle in Versailles has never looked better and they are still working on it!
We had so much fun shooting this dreamy engagement session! Jasmine and Glenn are getting married next year at CastlePost in a fairy tale wedding and we are so excited to capture their big day! For their engagement session, we went to Raven Run Nature Sanctuary for what turned out to be a very enchanted woods setting. Next, we headed to downtown Lexington to grab some shots at the Triangle Park fountains. Finally, we ended at CastlePost for a few amazing shots outside of the Kentucky castle. Thanks to CastlePost for allowing us to come!
Glenn, a former UK football player, and Jasmine, are two of the sweetest people! Jasmine was especially stunning after having PinkLouLou do her makeup. They were so willing to do whatever we needed to get a great shot, even laying in the grass. We had a blast getting to know them better and we know that they'll look great on their wedding day!
Capturing each bride and groom's little fairy tale is a special job. We never take it lightly because we understand how important it is to them to say their vows, make this commitment and begin the journey of a lifetime. We were incredibly blessed to be present as Autumn and Dustin pledged their love and devotion to each other at the Castle Post, wedding venue and hotel in Versailles, KY. Having driven by Castle Post for years, it was really special to have the opportunity to shoot in such a stunning venue. It was the perfect romantic Kentucky wedding venue for Autumn and Dustin.
As incredibly amazing as it was just to shoot at the Castle, it was a tiny bit disappointing for it to start sprinkling during the outdoor ceremony. We grabbed our umbrellas and shot the ceremony anyway and it was fine! Afterwards, the bride and groom decided to wait a few minutes before starting the portraits, hoping that the rain would go away. It was not long before the rain went away...well, almost. It was just a drizzle as we made our way out onto the Castle's lawn and we were all shocked to see...a rainbow! A rainbow...at a wedding...at a castle! We still look at the photos, a little in awe, of how perfect the moment was. We know it looks fake...that is how perfect it was! This gorgeous rainbow is completely real, however! In order to capture the beautiful colors of the sky and rainbow, we had to shoot slightly different than normal but we love how it turned out and we hope you do too!
Autumn and Dustin, we know that God has blessed your marriage already and we pray that He continues to do so!

Emma & Corey met me out at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church on Pisgah Pike in Versailles in the fall for their engagement session. It was a little chilly but we had beautiful light and the Kentucky countryside is always picturesque, especially when there are horses around! One of the things I love most about Central Kentucky (and Kentucky in general) is the variety of landscape we have. Rolling hills, farms, lakes, creeks, historical sites, waterfalls, flowers, trees...all beautiful backdrops for photos!
Emma and Corey are looking forward to their wedding in March and we are looking forward to capturing their special day!
