A March snow is almost to be expected in Kentucky but after some mild, warmer days with trees budding and flowers lifting up their heads, it's still a surprise to wake up to a winter wonderland. We had about 5 inches of snow in Lawrenceburg but with the temperatures up near 40 degrees, it was the perfect day to get out and capture a few shots. Keeneland was especially lovely decked out in white so we wanted to share a few photos with you to enjoy. Now we've gotten a beautiful snow so we say it's time for spring!
Whether you’re still dating, engaged or married, it can be challenging to come up with fun, new date ideas. Dinner and a movie are great but it’s always nice to try something different. Here are a few ideas of things couples in the Lexington area can do on a wintery day or evening that are a little unique! Some of these options are especially for winter while others can be done anytime. Some keep you at home (perfect for when you’re snowed in) and some require you to get out and go somewhere! If you have more ideas that you would like to add, comment below! Keith's favorite is #4, and Melissa's favorite is #13!
Michele & Joe were surrounded by their parents and closest friends & family this past Saturday in Loretto, KY at the beautiful Maker's Mark Distillery when they said their vows. It was a quiet, unassuming affair but it was exactly perfect for them. Michele and Joe are a sweet, fun couple that love to laugh and enjoy life.
Winter may not be the most popular season for engagement photos but it sure doesn't disappoint us! Aimee & Houston are getting married next year at the beautiful Ashley Inn in Lancaster, KY and she chose to schedule her engagement session in December to take advantage of the Christmas lights. We met first at Cove Spring Park in Frankfort, KY for some shots in a gorgeous natural setting. I love the wintery neutral colors that move into the bright Christmas colors of the lights at Buffalo Trace. We can't wait to shoot Aimee and Houston's wedding next year!
We are so excited to share these photos with you because what could be better than a beautiful engagement session at our favorite time of the year? Buffalo Trace was lit up with magically glowing Christmas lights for Erin & Matt's sweet session. If you live in the area, you should definitely drive through the festive holiday lights that Buffalo Trace has provided to the community! As always, we absolutely loved that Erin and Matt included their sweet dog, Lucy! She is the friendliest little thing with a fierce love for her tennis ball!
Erin & Matt are getting married next summer in Winchester, KY with their reception taking place at the stunning Winchester Opera House. Lucy is going to be the flower girl! She's going to be so adorable! We can't wait to capture their perfect wedding day!
Molly & Matt could not have chosen a more perfect Kentucky fall day for their engagement session! The light, the location...everything was just beautiful! Molly is in studying to be a Physician's Assistant and Matt is in Medical school so they're a very busy couple! They are still planning an amazing wedding and we can't wait to shoot it next December at The Grand Reserve!
