Kelsey & Rob chose to do their engagement session at beautiful Shaker Village and you just couldn’t have gotten a prettier, more perfect setting! The warm evening with the glowy light was almost magical and perfectly “Kentucky”.
Abby & Jimmy are a sweet, fun couple that are getting married this summer at Warrenwood Manor in Danville, KY. We had a blast walking around a private farm in Richmond for their engagement photos. We loved how they incorporated sentimental areas and backgrounds into their images so that the photos are not only beautiful, but have an even deeper meaning for them. These photos represent their beginning, present and future.
We had the pleasure of going out to Lancaster last week to visit a new Kentucky wedding venue, Starlit Heights. The coordinator, Amber, was so kind to give us a tour of the location and let us know more about what they offer. The venue has an open air pavilion that would be perfect for wedding receptions as well as other events. The setting overlooks miles of gorgeous Kentucky farmland and a cute little pond is one of the focal points. There are several options for your ceremony location and portrait possibilities are endless on the 9+ acres! There are wooded areas that would be so pretty in photos! We can definitely envision beautiful engagement photos being shot here! One of the highlights is Burdette Knob, an amazing overlook that would be a super romantic place for a proposal or an elopement and Amber would be happy to help you set that up!
This past weekend we had two weddings to shoot! One was on Saturday and it was the wedding of Ashley & Michael. The weather was amazing and there were so many gorgeous elements of their day. The colorful bouquets were some of my favorites against the bridesmaid's burgundy dresses. The wedding party got ready at Riverside Inn B&B which was a beautiful old home. The backyard has great views of the Ohio River and was the perfect location for their first look. The group left in a limo and drove to the church in Burlington for the wedding ceremony and then back to Warsaw for the reception at Michael's family's farm. The farm sits atop a long hill and the views of the river from there are fabulous! You'll see...:)
Ashley and Michael were wonderful to work with and we are so happy that we were able to spend the day capturing these special memories. Even better is that we are shooting Michael's sister's (she's a bridesmaid in these photos!) wedding next year so we will get to see them again!

It just so happens that a cattle farm in Winchester, KY is the perfect spot for sunset engagement photos! The cows, rolling hills, tall grass that sparkles in the golden sunlight, and rustic barns and silos are a photographer's dream. The best part is that Charley & Austin are having their wedding on this farm next summer. Austin's family owns the farm so it's a special spot for them where they've spent time with family as well as had little picnic dates themselves. Charley is planning a gorgeous, fun wedding and we can't wait to capture this sweet couple's wedding day!
Shooting a wedding for old friends is one of the many great things about our "job". We have known Tori since she was a little kid and her mom and dad have always been such kind, great people. They put so much time and effort into making Tori and Craig's wedding day perfect. The wedding took place at their home in Wurtland, KY where they have beautiful property. The wedding was in a large tent that was decorated in a lovely country rustic theme. Tori included little touches of Beauty and the Beast items throughout the decor which was so fun. Her dad did all the cooking for the wedding and it was a Cajun feast! (They are originally from Louisiana) The family was so sweet and welcoming to us and it was just a super fun day. Keith even got to fish a little in their pond! Tori and Craig, thank you for allowing us to share in your day and we pray that you have a blessed marriage!
