If you love Southern weddings with lots of elegance and class, this is the wedding blog for you! Meredith and Corey were the very first couple to get married at Mustard Seed Hill in Millersburg, KY and it was a great way to start off this incredible venue!
Madeline & Garrett chose the perfect time to go to the Red River Gorge for their engagement session! The end of October has the area blazing with bright colors. We started out at Sky Bridge Station where the couple visits often on when they are in the area to hike. The staff there are so friendly and it's a cute, comfortable place to grab some delicious quesadillas or gourmet hot dogs! Next we hiked out to Creation Falls and Rock Bridge for some woodsy scenery. It was such a fun session with a campfire and smores! Madeline and Garrett are pros for the camera and we cannot wait to shoot their Red River Gorge wedding next November!

Capturing each bride and groom's little fairy tale is a special job. We never take it lightly because we understand how important it is to them to say their vows, make this commitment and begin the journey of a lifetime. We were incredibly blessed to be present as Autumn and Dustin pledged their love and devotion to each other at the Castle Post, wedding venue and hotel in Versailles, KY. Having driven by Castle Post for years, it was really special to have the opportunity to shoot in such a stunning venue. It was the perfect romantic Kentucky wedding venue for Autumn and Dustin.
As incredibly amazing as it was just to shoot at the Castle, it was a tiny bit disappointing for it to start sprinkling during the outdoor ceremony. We grabbed our umbrellas and shot the ceremony anyway and it was fine! Afterwards, the bride and groom decided to wait a few minutes before starting the portraits, hoping that the rain would go away. It was not long before the rain went away...well, almost. It was just a drizzle as we made our way out onto the Castle's lawn and we were all shocked to see...a rainbow! A rainbow...at a wedding...at a castle! We still look at the photos, a little in awe, of how perfect the moment was. We know it looks fake...that is how perfect it was! This gorgeous rainbow is completely real, however! In order to capture the beautiful colors of the sky and rainbow, we had to shoot slightly different than normal but we love how it turned out and we hope you do too!
Autumn and Dustin, we know that God has blessed your marriage already and we pray that He continues to do so!

Megan & Brian live in Austin, Texas now but they've been everywhere, man. Kentucky is a place where Megan has roots and the two have ventured into this area a few times, with Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, KY being a special place for them both. Their love for bourbon didn't hurt but also, Buffalo Trace is just a gorgeous venue. Their guests came from all over the U.S, some even from other countries. It was obvious that they are well loved. They had a super fun bridal party which will you'll see from the photos to come. At the end of the day, Megan & Brian felt like friends and it's a little sad to see them go back to Texas. Guys, next time you're in KY, you have to let us know! :) Thanks so much for the opportunity to spend the day capturing your love for each other and everyone that surrounded you.
